On the verge of collapsing in the deciding set, the Bureau of Customs Transformers survived a late comeback from the feisty Bali Pure Purest Water Defenders to set a title duel against the 2016 Shakey’s V League Open Conference Champions Pocari Sweat Lady Warriors, 25-21, 25-16, 24-26, 8-25, 15-8.

The transformers were off to a blazing start. Dominating the net and firing from the different sides of the court to take an early two sets to none lead.

Having their backs against the wall, the Purest Water Defenders made crucial adjustments fielding in Ella De Jesus to help Denden Lazaro strengthen their floor defense.

Despite the tug-of-war third set, Bali Pure managed to extend the game. Special thanks to the amazing wonders of their defensive transitions.

The extended set was a major blow for the Purest Water Defenders as they massacred the Transformers by limiting them to just eight points.

Coming off a lack-luster performance in the fourth, Customs counterattack Bali Pure by putting Alyssa Valdez on the weak side and zooming to an 11-3 lead before a Lilet Mabbayad quick kill sent Transformers to the Shakey’s V League Reinforced Conference Finals.

Bali Pure falls to battle for the third and will face UST on Saturday followed by the championship game between Pocari and BOC.
