After bowing down to their arch-rival SBA last Saturday, the School of Engineering and Architecture Women’s Volleyball Team (SEAWVT) bounces back as they deny College of Nursing and Allied Medical Sciences Women’s Volleyball Team (CNAMSWVT) in a dominating fashion, 21-15 and 21-11.

Establishing a six-point lead in the early part of the first set, the Lionesses fired off their mean and loaded serves to hurt Lady Phoenixes’ floor defense. The game seemed to be a walk in the park for SEA but their attacking errors equalized their serving points, opening a door of momentum for CNAMS. Despite their woes on offense, the ladies of Sacred Heart managed to bring back their composure to pocket set number one.
Having their backs against the wall, the green spikers tried to catch up with their counterparts. However, the fluidity of the game of the orange shirts was too tough to overcome. Errors of CNAMS piled up in the middle of the set causing SEA to never look back and pull away.
The Lionesses scored 13 service aces and 7 of them came from their main scorer, Nicole Shimamura, who struggled a bit on her offense after scoring with just 2.
The Lady Spikers of SEA hold a 5-1 record and will see action next week for the University Days.
